Certified Professional Photographer CPP

CPP stands for Certified Professional Photographer.

In the modern day & age where everyone with a digital camera is a “photographer,” it is more important than ever that clients be educated on how to distinguish a professional photographer and a hobbyist.
Professional photography is an investment. Whether you are welcoming a baby home, or sending one off to college, those memories are precious. Weddings are a once in a lifetime experience. Choosing a qualified photographer should be at the forefront. You may ask, “How Do I Know?”

One of the biggest distinctions is for a photographer to obtain Certification. Mary is one of only 15 Certified Photographers Houston, Texas.

Press Release – May 2008

Mary Henry-Zeek of MH Photography in Houston, TX has earned the Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) designation from the Professional Photographic Certification Commission.

Mary earned this designation after meeting rigorous requirements measuring her artistic and technical competence. The Professional Photographic Certification Commission currently recognizes less than 2,000 Certified Professional Photographers worldwide. Less than 3% of all photographers hold this Mark of Excellence.

The Professional Photographic Certification Commission is the leading body for certifying imaging professionals. CPP’s must complete a written examination, an image evaluation, and adhere to a stringent code of conduct. Certification must be renewed on a periodic basis, ensuring continuing confidence in the professionalism of Certified Professional Photographers.

Mary is honored to be one of only 15 CPPs in Houston.
