Hours and Appointments
Studio hours are by appointment only. This includes all photography sessions, wedding consultations, and portrait order pickups.
All sitting fees are due in full when booking your appointment.
Your session fee includes time and talent of the photographer and image preparation which can take hours to days of dedicated time. Unlike department stores and photography chains, you are getting individual attention and the ability to customize your session to fit your family’s needs.
We do not allow personal cameras at your session. Please leave them and your video cameras at home.
Sessions with children typically require a bit more planning on your part. If possible please try to schedule around nap times and meals. A full belly and plenty of rest will make a big difference during your child’s session and make for more pleasant experience resulting in better portraits.
Cancellation & Tardy Policy
My cancellation policy is fair, but firm.
Cancellations must be made with a 24 hour notice or your forfeit your pre-paid session fee. In the case of inclement weather outdoor sessions will be rescheduled at no charge. In either case, your session must be rescheduled within the following couple of weeks. No shows forfeit their session fee all together.
If you or your child is sick, please do not bring them over for photos. Children that aren’t quite feeling themselves typically look that way in their portraits. This will also help germs from being spread around. In this case your session fee will be applied to a future session scheduled within 30 days of the original session. If you cancel this session, your forfeit your pre-paid session fee.
Please arrive to your session on time. If you are more than 10 minutes late, MH Photography reserves the right to cancel your session. We want you to look your best, and not feel rushed during your session. Your session will end at the scheduled end time. You may opt to continue for a full session for an additional sitting fee if there is no one scheduled following your appointment.
Viewing Your Images
Online galleries are available for 7 days for portraits, 60 days for weddings. Clients wishing to extend the gallery will be subject to a rehosting fee.
Orders and Payment
Unless you are picking up your order directly, you will be billed for shipping & handling (cost depends on the product).
Payment terms:
Payment for print orders are due in full when the order is taken.
Album Orders: 50% is due at the time your order is placed, the other 50% is due when picking up your album.
Digital files: Payment is due upon order.
Weddings: $500 retainer to hold your wedding date, $500 on the date of your engagement session, $500 on the date of your bridal portrait session, and the remainder of your balance is due no later than 14 days before your wedding day. In the event your wedding is canceled or postponed for any reason, your retainer is non-refundable.
NSF (hot checks, bounced checks, whatever you choose to call them) will automatically incur a $40 fee.
We offer clients products that are of the highest quality available to professional photographers. We strive to work with companies that stand behind the quality of their product. If you should experience unhappiness with the quality of an ordered print or product, we will fix/replace that item in a timely manner. If you should experience a manufacture’s defect, please let us know as soon as possible so that we may address the problem. Due to the custom nature of our business, all sales are final.
Effective March 27,2011, all unordered images will be purged indefinitely. MH Photography will archive images your have ordered for a period of 24 months.
Copyright
MH Photography retains the copyright to all images we create. It is important to me to accommodate reasonable requests from my clients while protecting my rights as an artist and receiving fair payment for my talent and effort. Please discuss with me your desired uses of my photography. We are happy to offer you images for your email, Facebook, or other social media websites, etc. from portrait prints you have purchased.
If you purchase digital files, printing is allowed for personal use only (this includes creating your own prints and albums if you wish). You may not sell them or distribute them for commercial use. This includes distributing your photos to vendors for weddings & events as well as magazines and other publications including online commercial publications. If you wish for your images to be submitted for such publications, please contact us for details. MH Photography reserves the right to display, distribute, and publish any photo for promotional purposes.
